FISHING WITH SOME FRIENDS

Over the past couple of years I have not been getting out on a stream as much as I would have liked, but family, rods and nets had some sort of say ito who got the most attention. The few times I did get out however have all been massively entertaining!! I've met some great people along the way over the past 2 years, and re-ignited old friendships on these trips.

This piece deals with one of the best "unknown" fisheries in Africa, and possibly the world ... Lesotho!!

Trout streams abound in this landlocked country. You can hardly look to any river or stream and NOT find a trout in there somewhere. There are a couple of more well-known rivers in the Kingdom of the Sky, but very few come close to a river I have fallen in love with the past 2 years - the Maletsunyane!

I'm not that great of a story teller, so I'll let some pictures of the last 2 years' visits tell the story ...
